2015-2016 Calendar Feedback
In an effort to receive community feedback for the 2015-16 CSISD calendar, parents, students, staff and community members are encouraged to vote and provide open-ended feedback on two proposed calendar options.

Voting and feedback will be accepted through Monday, December 8.

The District-wide Educational Improvement Council will review the voting results and feedback in order to make a calendar recommendation to the CSISD Board of Trustees. The board is expected to take action on the 2015-16 calendar at the December meeting.

Cougar Statue Information

Cougar Statue Information We are in the process of having a bronze cougar statue made to be placed in the front of our beautiful campus. Please consider partnering with us to fund this endeavor. See the attached letter for more information.
Rescheduling Semester Exams
If you are planning to be absent during your Semester Exams for any reason, there is one yellow form that needs to be completed and returned by Friday, December 5, so that those absences can be documented and re-scheduling options can occur. This form is available for pick-up before and after school from the AP office. It can be downloaded from this post.

CSHS Students Selected to All-State Orchestra Congratulations to violinists Woody Wang and Eugene Tian for being selected to perform for the 2014 Texas Music Educators Association All-State Orchestra!
CSISD Early Release
Wednesday, November 12th is a district-wide early release day. CSHS students will be released at 12:30 pm for open-campus lunch. Buses will run at 1:30 pm. See the attached schedule.
CSHS Men’s Choir earn 1st place at Texas Renaissance Festival

CSHS Men’s Choir earn 1st place at Texas Renaissance Festival Concert Choir, Junior Varsity Choir, Varsity Choir and the Men’s Choir competed in the Early Music Festival at RenFest on Wednesday, Nov. 5th. For the 2nd year in a row, the Men’s Choir captured first place in their division! Concert Choir received 3rd place in the High School Small Choir division. Congratulations to all choir students who participated!

Cougar Robotics Competes at Brazos BEST

Cougar Robotics Competes at Brazos BEST Cougar Robotics had great success this past weekend at the Brazos BEST Robotics Competition which CSHS hosted. Cougar Robotics was awarded 2nd place in engineering notebook, 2nd place in booth interview, and 4th place overall. A lot of hard work was put in and it has paid off!!! Great job!!

Senior Panoramic Picture Next Monday, October 27th, seniors will have a panoramic picture taken. We will be on a morning activity schedule. The picture is scheduled to be taken at 10:00am.

Ticket sales will be conducted at both school’s ticket offices Monday – Friday, 7:30 am until 1:00 pm (October 20-24).

Student tickets may also be purchased in the cafeteria at lunches on Monday and Tuesday (if not sold out on Monday).

Teachers must purchase a regular ticket.

There's No Place Like Homecoming 2014
Come follow the yellow brick road with us to Emerald City for a fun night at Homecoming!

8:00 pm - Midnight

Tickets are $8 per person or $15 per couple. They will be $10 at the door.

If you plan to bring a guest from another school to our Homecoming, please stop by the front office to pick up a guest form. It's also attached to this post. These forms are due Wednesday, October 15th to the front office. If you have questions, ask one of the Assistant Principals.
PSAT Information
10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) on Wednesday, October 15th. Testing will begin at 8:20 am.

9th grade students will be participating in a practice EOC activity during the morning on Wednesday as well.

Students are encouraged to get a good night's sleep and to eat a substantial breakfast on that morning.

We will be on an alternate bell schedule.
